The first 1963 Corvette Grand Sport was crafted from lightweight materials and powered by a 6.2L 377 CI small block V8 engine.  Although there were only five prototypes created, they had a huge impact on the future of Chevrolet racing, and all five of the original Grand Sport models still exist.

Now the new 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport carries on the racing spirit of the original 1963 model.  By combining the power of the legendary LT1 6.2L engine with a lightweight, race-bred chassis and aerodynamics package, the new corvette offers incredible grip and handling.  Boasting zero to 60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 181 mph, the powerful, all-new 2017 Chevy Corvette Grand Sport is a 6.2-liter, 460-horsepower V8 performance vehicle that is mated to a seven-speed manual transmission.   

The front-engine, rear-wheel-drive, two-seat sports car is equipped with 21st century features as  the Grand Sport combines “signature Corvette DNA with ingenious engineering to create a stunning aerodynamic sports car with a wider body that includes sophisticated aerodynamic and cooling elements.”  In addition as the sports car is available in a variety of color options as well as the unique striping and fender hash marks found in the Heritage Package, every Grand Sport can be customized to reflect your own preference.
