Consumers Reports notes the Cruze offers passengers a comfortable ride with a relatively roomy interior and that the compact is a fully competitive entry in a class dominated by imported cars.  In fact, according to their research, it beats out the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla, which accounts for the high overall score.  They explain that the shrunk down version of the Malibu and Impala maintains the “commendable driving manners and generous available features.”  The vehicle has an estimated overall 30 mpg but Consumer Reports cites statistics that show it can get up to 47 mpg on the highway.
