2017 Chevrolet Colorado Highlights

The most exciting changes to the Chevy Colorado pickup truck are the new 8-speed automatic transmission (as opposed to the previous six-speed) and the new option to select General Motors’  fresh second-generation DOHC V-6 engine with over 276 lb-ft of torque (more below). With all of the updates, the Colorado still maintains its unparalleled smooth ride and impressive maneuverability. 

Other 2017 highlights include:

•       New Powertrain. The 2017 model uses General Motors’ brand new V-6 engine that is similar to the engines of the Cadillac CTS, Chevy Camaro, and Buick LaCrosse
• Teen Driver Mode. A new option for 2017, now drivers can monitor the driving behavior of other drivers with this software package.
•        Heated Seats. This option was once restricted to leather-equipped trucks only. Now, it’s available for all 2017 Colorado models.
•    4WD Selector: Now, buyers of the all-wheel drive Colorado will be able to use a selector knob to shift between 2WD, Auto 4WD, 4Hi, and 4Lo modes as a standard feature.
•         Turbodiesel Engine: The 2017 Colorado continues to offer the four-cylinder turbodiesel engine as an alternative to the gasoline engine.
